DATU PIANG, MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) provided essential relief goods to households in the flood-affected barangays of Reina Regente and Kalipapa yesterday, July 24, 2023.
A total of 700 families from these two barangays received relief packages consisting of 25-kilogram rice, a dozen cans of goods, and a dozen sachets of instant coffee.
“We are among the most flood-affected households here in our barangay, that is why we are thankful for all the help that we received from MSSD-BARMM”, said Umisalam Sahid Diong, one of the beneficiaries from Barangay Kalipapa.
The Ministry’s relief distribution efforts will continue today until tomorrow, July 27, to reach all the target flood-affected beneficiaries in barangays Balong, Montay, Ambado, and Duaminanga. MSSD’s provincial office in Maguindanao reported that a total of 1,905 households in this municipality will receive the same relief items by the end of this activity.
Similar relief distributions are also scheduled to be conducted in other flood-affected communities in the province in the coming days.
