COTABATO CITYโFollowing the fire incident in Barangay Rosary Heights 8, Cotabato City, last Wednesday, December 13, 2023, the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), through its Emergency Assistance Program, extended relief aid to two (2) fire-affected families yesterday, December 14.
Each of the said families received 1 sack of rice, food packs containing canned goods, noodles, coffee, and sugar, a hygiene kit, a dignity and protection kit, a sleeping kit, and a water kit that they can utilize to sustain their daily basic necessities.
In an interview with Rasul Tino, MSSDโs Social Welfare Officer II, he addressed the commitment of MSSD to aid for the fire victims.
โMSSD shall ensure that the needed assistance for the fire victims will be provided and help them cope with the impact of the unexpected incident,โ Tino stated.
โAside from the immediate delivery of relief assistance, our team conducted an assessment of victims for the provision of Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA),โ Tino added.
The Cotabato City Social Welfare Office (CSWDO), barangay local government unit, and social work interns of Cotabato State University also assisted in the distribution of assistance.
