MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), in collaboration with the Office of Member of Parliament (MP) Ramon Piang, turned over ten (10) sets of outdoor play facilities to five (5) child development centers (CDCs) in Upi, Maguindanao del Norte on February 7, 2024.
The recipients were the CDCs in the barangays of Nuro, Bantek, Renti, Rifao, and Ranao Pilayan.
Each daycare center received two (2) sets of 3-in-1 play facilities, seesaws, and bicycles.
A total of 252 young learners enrolled in those CDCs will benefit from the said outdoor play facilities. Among them were 92 daycare students in Nuro, 45 in Bantek, 27 in Renti, 30 in Centro Renti, 30 in Rifao, and 28 in Ranao Pilayan.
This intervention for CDCs in support of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) of young learners is implemented by MSSD and funded through the transitional development impact fund (TDIF) of MP Ramon Piang.
Present during the turnover were MP Ramon Piang; Jamal Ali, MSSD Chief Planning Officer; Rafsanjani Anam, MSSD Planning Officer IV; Suadi Pagayao, Ministry of Indigenous Peoplesโ Affairs (MIPA) Deputy Minister; Maria Elena Castro, the local government unitโs head of the Committee on Women and Children. Personnel from the Office of MP Ramon Piang also joined the event: Jay Olubalang, Chief of Staff, and Janito Rabelo Sr., Political Affairs Officer IV and TDIF Focal Person. Daycare learners, child development workers, and parents were also in the activity.
Additional learning materials for daycare students, such as books and other supplies, are set to be distributed to the CDCs in Upi in the coming weeks.
