TANDUBAS, TAWI-TAWI — Three Bangsamoro centenarians in this municipality received their cash gift on Monday, August 28, 2023.

The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) presented the P100,000 grant to the surviving 103-year-old senior citizen, while the daughters of the other two centenarians, who passed away before the payout, received the checks.

The recognition and appreciation awarded to the centenarians stem from the Republic Act No. 10868 or Centenarians Act of 2016. Under this law, the Filipinos who reach the age of 100 years and beyond, whether residing within the Philippines or abroad, is entitled to a centenarian gift amounting to P100,000.

The grant aims to recognize the longevity of these individuals and their invaluable contributions throughout their lifetime.
