KUMALARANG, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR โ The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), through its Disaster Response Operation Services (DROS), extended relief goods to the remaining flood-affected Bangsamoro households here on August 04, 2023.
A total of 58 households from the municipality received relief packages consisting 25 kilogram-rice and food items.
This is in coordination with the municipal local government unit (MLGU) of Kumalarang and volunteers.
The Ministry has initially conducted relief distribution here to extend the same assistance to 598 households affected by the flooding caused by consecutive heavy rainfalls in the area.
This initiative aligns with Article VI, Section 9(d) of RA 11054 (Bangsamoro Organic Law), which mandates the Bangsamoro Government to offer necessary interventions to Bangsamoro communities located outside the BARMM.
