The Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee โ Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RJJWC BARMM) of the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) under the leadership of Atty. Raissa H. Jajurie, lead the conduct of blended Training-Orientation on the use of Discernment Assessment Tool, National Juvenile Justice and Welfare Management Information System (NJJWMIS) and Case Management Process on January 26-27, 2022 at Em Manor Hotel, Cotabato City.
The activity aimed to provide technical assistance on proper handling of Children At Risk and Children in conflict with law, how to administer the discernment assessment tool, refresher course on case management processes, and the use individual National Juvenile Justice and Welfare Information Management System (NJJWMIS).
Special Thanks to Ms. Analyn Favila, RSW from Policy and Research Division of Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council National Secretariat for helping us discuss the following topics: Initial Contact with the Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) Discernment Assessment Tool, Workshop on Diversion and Intervention and Mr. Guialil M. Pandi, SWO IV of MSSDs Protective Services Division for sharing valuable inputs on Case Management Process.
The training was participated by Municipal/City Social Welfare Officers and SWO IIs from the province of Lanao del Sur A and Maguindanao, Marawi City, Special Geographic Area, Cotabato City and some social workers from MSSD Regional Office.
Also, this activity served as a venue for the social workers to clarify issues and concerns regarding case management of CICL and CAR and clarified many concerns on the administration of discernment assessment tool as well as handling cases of CICL from initial contact, reintegration and after case services.
