𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐏𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 LANAO DEL SUR – Series of payouts for cash assistance to indigent senior citizens under the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens Program (SocPen) were conducted in the municipality of Wao from 5 to 6 January 2024. MSSD conducted payouts to 2,001 senior citizens from 26 barangays – 1,942 have already received PHP 3,000 each while the remaining 59 are expected to claim their assistance this week. SocPen is a nationally funded program initiated in 2011 under Republic Act 9994 (Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010).
