𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟓𝟎𝟎 𝟒𝐏𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦; 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥

LANAO DEL SUR – A total of 552 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries from the 19 municipalities of Lanao del Sur officially graduated from the program during the Pugay Tagumpay event, a graduation ceremony organized by the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) at the gymnasium of the Provincial Capitol in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, on November 28, 2023.

The graduation ceremony for 4Ps aims to acknowledge and celebrate the remarkable milestones and accomplishments of household beneficiaries in enhancing their socio-economic conditions.

4Ps is a national poverty reduction strategy implemented by MSSD in BARMM that provides conditional cash grants to improve the health, nutrition, and education of children and the general well-being of poor households.

In addition to the graduation certificates, the 4Ps graduates also received Php 15,000 each as their start-up capital fund for their chosen businesses to ensure they can sustain the level of well-being they have achieved after exiting the program. This livelihood intervention is through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), another nationally-funded program implemented by MSSD in BARMM that provides seed capital funds and skills training to small business owners to advance their socio-economic conditions.

Muntazar Mukarram, the 4Ps BARMM Regional Program Coordinator, stated, “MSSD, through its SLP fieldworkers, will continue monitoring the mentioned 4Ps graduates to ensure the continuation and proper utilization of the livelihood seed capital provided to them.”

Also present during the event were MSSD Deputy Minister Nur-ainee Tan Lim, MSSD Lanao del Sur A Provincial Social Welfare Officer Bai Yasmira N. Pangadapun, MPA, SLP Lanao del Sur A Provincial Coordinator Rasmiah A. Eppie-Lomondot, representatives from provincial and municipal local government units, Municipal Social Welfare Officers (MSWOs), and Municipal Links (MLs).
