MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE – The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), distributed livelihood assistance to 88 beneficiaries of the Zero Hunger Program. The payout took place at MSSD’s Municipal Social Welfare Office in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte on January 11, 2024.

Each beneficiary received PHP 15,000 worth of seed capital fund. This will enable the recipients to start their chosen microenterprises.

Prior to the payout, MSSD fieldworkers facilitated a thorough assessment of beneficiaries to ensure that the most eligible clients would be catered to in the program.

SLP is a capacity-building social protection program of the national government implemented by MSSD in the Bangsamoro Region, which aims to enhance the well-being of its beneficiaries through socio-economic empowerment interventions, including skills training and microenterprise development.
