BARMM SPECIAL GEOGRAPHIC AREA (SGA) – The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), in collaboration with the Bangsamoro Darul Ifta, conducted a two-day training program entitled “Model Family in Islam” on December 6-7, 2023 at White Hut in Midsayap, North Cotabato.

Twenty-four (24) Muslim religious leaders (MRLs), representing eight (8) clusters in the SGA, participated in the activity.

This comprehensive program aims to equip MRLs with the knowledge, skills, and capacities needed to promote healthy family dynamics and positive parenting practices within their communities. The training also tackled the official ruling on the Model Family in Islam. Facilitators of the activity employed various instructional methods, including lectures, discussions, open forums, workshops, and action planning to empower the MRLs to become agents of change.

Present during the training were Bangsamoro Darul Ifta Ustadz Mohammad Suaib D. Tambak, who shared his expertise, MSSD SGA Provincial Social Welfare Officer (PSWO) Haron D. Amer, and Administrative Officer V Benladin C. Maas.
