LANAO DEL SUR – The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) conducted simultaneous payout activities for the beneficiaries of the Kalinga para sa may Kapansanan Program and Angat Bangsamoro: Kabataan Tungo sa Karunungan (ABaKa) Program at municipal hall of Tagoloan, Lanao del Sur on December 5, 2023.

Under the Kalinga para sa may Kapansanan Program, a total of 102 indigent persons with disabilities (PWDs) individually received PhP 1,500 which covers their monthly subsidies for three (3) months. This assistance intends to assist PWD clients in their daily basic needs and medicines.

Meanwhile, in MSSD’s ABaKa Program, 50 student-beneficiaries also received educational cash assistance. Among the recipients, 41 high school students received PhP 3,000 each and nine (9) college students received PhP 10,000 each. The said assistance intends to cover the beneficiaries’ school-related expenses.

MSSD will continue the payout for the remaining beneficiaries of the said two (2) programs in the following days until all assessed indigent PWDs and students in the municipality are served.
