LANAO DEL SUR – The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) delivered a total of 1,609,080 pouches of sterilized milk during a series of deliveries to various municipalities in the province of Lanao del Sur, including Marawi City. The deliveries took place from December 18โ20, 2023, and January 4โ5, 2024, as part of MSSD’s commitment to supporting the holistic development of indigent Bangsamoro daycare learners.
A total of 13,409 daycare learners enrolled in Child Development Centers (CDCs) and Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNP) centers will benefit from the distributed sterilized milk.
Among the beneficiaries, 2,051 are from Marawi City, 1,031 from Malabang, 810 from Bacolod Kalawi, 720 from Ganassi, 680 from Madalum, 670 from Lambayanague, 669 from Kapatagan, 610 from Balabagan, 600 from Marogong, 600 from Butig, 560 from Picong, 550 from Madamba, 530 from Calanogas, 520 from Binidayan, 500 from Pualas, 500 from Pagayawan, 480 from Tubaran, 468 from Lumbatan, 310 from Bayang, 300 from Sultan Dumalondon, and 250 from Lumbaca Unayan.
This intervention is part of the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP), a nationally-funded program implemented by MSSD in the region. The SFP provides nutritious food to indigent children between the ages of 2 and 5 enrolled in CDCs and SNPs, ensuring their access to healthy and balanced meals essential for their growth and development.
