COTABATO CITY – As part of the week-long celebration of Bangsamoro Foundation Day (BFD), the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) set up a booth Monday, 22 January 2023, showcasing its variety of services for the Bangsamoro people.

The booth offered visitors free blind massage services and free coffee. Blind massage therapists are beneficiaries of the Bangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan (BSK) program.

Assorted indigenous goods and products are also available under Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).

Help desk is also set up for visitors access to varied services of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

The booth also offers free consultation for the Bangsamoro Critical Assistance in Response to Emergency Situations (B-CARES) program for intake evaluation to avail services such as medical assistance, hospital bills, burial assistance, chemotherapy, and hemodialysis for intake evaluation.

Aside from MSSD, other ministries and offices under the Social Development Committee also installed their booths, showcasing the programs and services they provide to indigent and vulnerable communities in the region.

The foundation day celebration provided a fun and interactive way for the Bangsamoro people to learn about MSSD’s work and allowed local businesses and artisans to display and promote their products. It was an excellent way for the Bangsamoro Government to engage with the local community and demonstrate its commitment to improving the lives of the Bangsamoro.

The MSSD Booth is located in front of the Office of the Chief Minister building, Bangsamoro Government Center ground.
