MAGUINDANAO – The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), in collaboration with local government units, recently equipped 84 child development workers (CDWs) in Sultan Sa Barongis (65) and Barira (19) with vital skills to enhance child development center (CDC) quality. The two-day training, held from January 4โ5 in Barira and January 8โ9 in Sultan Sa Barongis, aimed to improve the expertise of workers in child development centers (CDCs).
The training focused on mastering tools and indicators for internal and external assessments, crucial for accrediting child development centers. Participants gained practical insights into the effective use of these tools to ensure quality early childhood education.
The key responsibilities of barangay and local government officials were outlined, emphasizing their vital roles in maintaining high-quality standards for children. The program also highlighted the goals of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD), providing valuable insights for shaping a positive future for young learners.
Sessions were led by trainers from the MSSD Maguindanao Field Office and experts in the field. This intervention underscores the commitment of MSSD to support quality early childhood education for children across BARMM.
