In line with the Celebration and Observance of 11th Juvenile Justice and Welfare Consciousness Week (JJWeek) with the theme: “Pagbabago Panigurado kung Tututukan natin ang Juvenile Justice Law”, the Children At Risk (CAR) and Children In Conflict with the Law (CICL) under the care of children and youth residential facilities in the Bangsamoro region joined this year’s Sining Likha, Kwento ng Pag-asa, 11th JJWeek Poster Making Competition.
The Bangsamoro RJJWC Secretariat, together with the Communication Team of the MSSD BARMM conducted a brief orientation on the goals and objectives of the poster-making contest. The RJJWC BARMM provided art materials and hygiene kits for CAR and CICL who joined the competition. The activity was held on October 20, 2022 at Cotabato City Social Development Center and at MSSD Maguindanao Half Way Home.
As a result, one output from the BARMM entry was chosen and became part of the Top 10 entries for the national competition being organized by the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council.
The contest aims to bring out the creative expression of Filipino children and youth under the care of Bahay Pag-Asa (BPA), Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY), and other youth care facilities on how the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act (JJWA) has given these children hope – to change for the better.
