SPECIAL GEOGRAPHIC AREA — The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) conducted a mass payout on August 25, 2023 at Barangay Batulawan’s covered court for the beneficiaries of the Kalinga para sa may Kapansanan Program in this area.
During this event, a total of 564 indigent persons with disability (PWDs) from barangays Balong, Balungis, Bualan, Dunguan, Gokotan, Lagunde, Manaulanan, Nabundas, Nunguan, Pamalian, and Tapodoc received cash assistance.
The Kalinga para sa may Kapansanan Program is one of the regular programs of the Ministry which offers monthly cash assistance to indigent and vulnerable persons with disability (PWDs) in the Bangsamoro region. Alongside this financial support, beneficiaries are also eligible to receive assistive devices and participate in skills training through the program. This initiative is designed to empower and support PWDs, allowing them to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.
