PANAMAO, SULU — MSSD provided maternity kit and 1 sack of rice on 22 August 2022 to 17 pregnant women and post-partum mothers, who regularly visit the rural health unit (RHU) here for prenatal and postnatal check-ups.
This is to help the indigent pregnant women to prepare for a holistic pregnancy and childbirth; and to encourage mothers who recently gave birth to prioritize the overall health and wellbeing of their infant child.
Meanwhile, August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, which highlights the important role of women in nurturing children through breastfeeding. MSSD recognizes this through empowering them and giving them opportunities to uplift their family’s life.
