TAWI-TAWI โ On 02 February 2023, a total of 16 potential human trafficking survivors who arrived at Bongao Port were provided with emergency assistance.
This group of rescued individuals, composed of three (3) minors, seven (7) women, and six (6) men, were turned over to MSSD’s provincial office here by Philippine National Police Maritime Group for further interventions. The Ministry provided them with hygiene kits, food assistance, and temporary shelter. After obtaining their vital information, they were turned over to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, which will facilitate their return to their residence.
