MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR — Being one of the vital partners of the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) in disaster response, the parasocial workers in this province received training on the use of the new IDP Profiling and Response Tracking (iPART) system.
The iPART System is an innovative tool adopted by the Ministry to enhance the efficiency of profiling and validation processes during emergency situations, particularly when internally displaced persons require immediate assistance.
A total of 26 parasocial workers, deployed in municipalities of Talayan and South Upi, participated in the training. They were also provided with a brief orientation of MSSD’s programs and services, with a special focus on those within the Disaster Response and Management Division (DRMD). Further, this program equipped them with a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities in the field.
The event, which took place on August 30-31, 2023, saw the participation of the Municipal Social Welfare Officers from Talayan and South Upi, along with experienced trainers from the Ministry’s DRMD, including IDMS Section Head Hayanifah G. Maca-angga, IM Officer Venus Lozano, and Mr. David Paul W. Apondar.
This initiative reinforces the Ministry’s goal of strengthening disaster response efforts and ensuring the welfare of affected individuals during times of crisis.
