MIDSAYAP, SPECIAL GEOGRAPHIC AREA — Following the validation conducted by the social workers on 01 August 2022, a total of 491 internally displaced persons (IDPs) here received welfare goods from MSSD last Tuesday, 02 August.
Each of the 60 families who evacuated at Dapbil Elementary School received food pack, 25 kilogram-rice, sleeping kit, dignity kit, and jerry can. Meanwhile, each of the 431 home-based IDPs received family food pack, 25 kilogram-rice, sleeping kit, and a jerry can.
The Municipal Social Welfare Office (MSWO) also conducted validation of IDPs at Kudarangan Elementary school yesterday. In line with this, a total of 465 IDPs are set to receive the same welfare goods tomorrow, 05 August.
The 956 identified IDPs are residents of barangays Olandang and Kudarangan, who were forced to evacuate from their homes because of a clan feud, which resulted to an armed conflict.
