The Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) through the Disaster Response and Management Division (DRMD), recently completed a comprehensive assessment for 194 fire-affected families in Brgy. Poblacion 7, Cotabato City. The assessment took place from October 4 to 6, 2023.
Rasul Tino, Social Welfare Officer II of MSSD DRMD, explained that the findings from this assessment will serve as the basis for the Ministry’s subsequent social interventions.
โMSSD will be extending assistance in the form of construction materials through the Ministryโs Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA) and Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) programs to aid the fire victims in repairing their damaged homes,โ Tino explained.
The Cotabato City Social Welfare and Development Office, social work interns, barangay local government officials, and personnel also assisted during the administration of the said assessment.
