SULU – A total of 132 indigent families received monetized rice subsidies worth Php 3,600 each from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) through the Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program in Panglima Estino, Sulu, on November 20, 2023.

The amount covers their monthly rice subsidies for three (3) months.

During the payout, beneficiaries expressed their gratitude as the amount is a significant support to their daily rice subsidy, as well as a supplement to their other needs, such as education support for their children and healthcare.

Eight 8 remaining families in the municipality will receive their subsidies under the program in the coming days.

The Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program is one of the banner social protection programs of MSSD that improves the well-being of the poorest households in BARMM through a holistic approach. These interventions include the provision of livelihood seed capital, skills training, rice subsidy, educational assistance, medical support, and emergency assistance to ensure that the well-being of these families will elevate from survival to subsistence and from subsistence to self-sufficiency levels.
