COTABATO CITYโ As a culmination program for the National Children’s Month observance in BARMM, the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) held an outreach activity for 100 children with special needs earlier today, November 29, 2023, at the covered court of the Center for the Handicapped in Cotabato City.
The children participants received kits containing toothpaste, a toothbrush, a face towel, soap, shampoo, and alcohol. They also received T-shirts, notebooks, and umbrellas.
Other highlights of the program included a magic show, a bubble show, and face painting.
The Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) and Bangsamoro Womenโs Commission (BWC) also provided meals for the children participants.
In his message, MSSD Director General Mohammad Muktadir Estrella shared and emphasized the importance of education as one of the basic rights of children and the significance of children in the community.
โRest assured that MSSDโs operation and leadership will bring more services, and together we will bring every childโs story to transcend and inspire,โ added Atty. Estrella.
Personnel from MSSD and representatives from partner agencies like BWC, BPDA, Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC), and Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee (RJJWC) were also present during the culmination event.
