Earlier today, March 23, 2022, the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) through its Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program distributed monthly rice subsidy to 222 beneficiaries in the clusters of Pigcawayan and Midsayap under the BARMM Special Geographic Area (SGA).
Among the recipients on this day, 117 were from Midsayap and 105 were from Pigcawayan.
Meanwhile, on March 9, 123 program beneficiaries in the BARMM SGA Cluster of Carmen also received the similar assistance.
The said distribution in BARMM SGA will continue tomorrow in the other clusters in which there will be 216 clients Pikit and 63 in Kabacan.
The Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro Program is one of the regular banner programs of MSSD which provides holistic social intervention to case-managed households who belong to the most indigent and vulnerable sectors through providing a set of social interventions such as livelihood assistance, monthly rice subsidy for one (1) year, medical assistance during emergencies, and educational assistance to eligible college student in the family upon rigorous assessment of the field social workers.
This aims to improve the socio-economic condition of the case-managed clients as they step up from survival to subsistence and from subsistence to self-sufficiency level.
